My employer recently released a Surface Pro to replace our old laptops. With this switch, I was finally able to reproduce our dual monitor setup at my home. With one caveat. A docking station must be purchased for the home office. I ventured into this work. Because the docking station is relatively small. I can take it home with my laptop and leave the mains transformer at work. Still a little pricey for a power adapter, but about a third the cost of a docking station. So far this has worked great for me. It worked perfectly. No problem. YMMV. You need to be sure that your monitors are carefully chosen. At my house, the configured docking station itself does not know how to manage 2 monitors. One of my monitors is connected directly to my laptop. Of course, this has nothing to do with the power supply.
