Whether you're recording video, taking photos or just having a Zoom session, good lighting can make all the difference. Years ago when I was in college I worked at a camera shop in downtown Los Angeles, so I knew that a well-made camera and a sharp lens is a good place to start, but when conditions weren't ideal, the resulting picture would suffer. I've been selling some collectibles online lately and of course I want them to look good. Environment and lighting can have a big impact on the presentation of what I'm trying to sell. I had the opportunity to test the Neewer 530 PRO RGB LED with app control and stand kit. I was impressed. See attached photos and videos! I received the set a few days ago. I opened the box and found 2 long boxes and 2 fabric storage bags and some instructions. I took a quick look inside and saw that I had to download the Neewer app as most of the functions of this lighting system are controlled by the app. The app is available for iPhone and Android phones. Older phones may not work with the app, so you can check the App Store for the latest information and requirements. Each of the two long boxes contained a light stand. Each storage bag has compartments for a lamp and a 12 volt adapter that needs to be plugged into an outlet. Optionally, you can purchase a rechargeable lithium battery to power each light and keep floor clutter to a minimum. The stands are made of aluminum alloy and the lighting includes a digital LCD display. The app's multi-light control feature lets you control intensity, hue, etc. You can rotate the light for fine tuning. Setup only took a few minutes. Simply unpack the frames and adjust them to the desired height. Place the flashlight on the stand and lock it in place. Open the flaps, plug in the light and turn it on. The light activates Bluetooth instantly, so open the app, sync with each light and you're good to go. After the session is over, the system can be quickly dismantled and stowed away. Of course, using the app and deciding how best to use the lights will depend on what you're trying to do. I can confirm that everything worked and worked well. Over time I hope to get the most out of this amazing lighting setup. The photos and videos I've posted should give you a good idea of what you're getting and how easy it is to work with. Pros: - Very easy and quick to set up. - Doesn't take up much disk space. - Virtually unlimited. The colors make it suitable for almost any photo or video project - LED bulbs provide plenty of light - Great control over light intensity, hue, etc. - Control it with your phone! Cons:- If you want to use this system without a power source nearby that you can plug a 12V adapter into, you will need to buy rechargeable batteries and a charger.
