Picked up a camera for travel. The small size of Fuji made me try this model in action. In the English segment of the Internet, reviews are mixed, but the majority still like the XT30. I liked the idea that Fuji has a lot of lenses (didn't like the fact that the price was inadequate). I did not like the fact that the photo quality of the Fuji XT30 and XT3 on DPReview is simply terrifying. I decided to borrow this camera from a friend in order to understand during use what is true and what is a lie. What immediately disgusted me (and what I initially thought I would fall in love with) was the ergonomics. The camera is stupidly INCONVENIENT to use: there is no normal grip (and buying more Chinese crafts to improve it is nonsense), the ons are in stupid places, the wheels can only be used for super slow shooting. The camera in the video reviews seemed solid. In fact, in the hands it feels like cheap plastic. Also the menu is just KAPETS. And digging into this KAPETZ with a joystick is a double KAPETZ. The photo quality is really terrible. Perhaps I'm a krivoruk, but the old cheap crops from Canon and Nikon surprise, for example, with a much better dynamic range. Also, everyone probably knows that Fuji RAW files are not compatible with Lightroom and that you will have to master Capture One. There is no pleasure in using Fuji, and the number of lenses and the appearance mean NOTHING against the inconvenience of use. Mirrorless cameras from Sony (and even Nikon! ) give, GENERALLY, a much better result. Attached is a comparison with DPReview. Currently choosing between Nikon Z50 and Sony a6400. The photo quality is about the same. Nikon has amazing usability and amazing dynamic range. Sony has excellent autofocus and a fleet of optics. I ended up choosing the Nikon Z50. Really comfortable and pleasant to hold in hands; convenient touch menu; whale lens super; Surprisingly good eye focus. Sony 6400 does not fit well in the hand; the menu, like that of Fuji, is tin and not a touch. Not very tactile either.
