I was able to find the cause of my data transfer problem. So 5 stars. Old title: Good for charging, bad for data transfer (1 star) There was a problem. When transferring a file folder larger than +5-20GB to my phone, the phone turns off. I know this cable is the cause because my other USB3.0 cable (which slips out easily) that I replaced with this blue cable doesn't have the same problem (the old USB3.0 cable can easily take a 25 -GB folder transferred). I have the same problem with both blue cables. So it is not an accidental defect. It sucks. Old name: So far, so good (5 stars). I checked it by transferring files. It doesn't charge slowly (at a typical 20% charge rate, the battery is around 1900mA, which is consistent). The cord doesn't slip out of my phone's port like my old cord that I am replacing. with this new cable. I will update my review if there are any issues. The thickness/stiffness of a cable compared to thinner or weaker cables depends on either the nature of that cable to make it more durable or the added thickness of the additional USB 3.0 cables. . If you're just charging and don't want a higher data rate, you might prefer a different cable if you want a thinner, more flexible cable.
