I bought a 17" luggage carrier. I needed to take my pup on an American Airlines flight from PHX to DCA. Great experience with this carrier! It's durable, cute and easy to transport. My dog is an 8 year old Maltese weighing around 14-15lbs. The airline weighed a total of 17.2lbs when weighed at the airport. It has 3 vents and is stretchy which was the main reason I bought it Didn't get a chance to take a picture but on the way back to Phoenix I opened a page and she lay down comfortably to sleep on the plane.I bought this 3 months before our flight to teach her how to do it getting used to traveling in the car, going to and from shops so she doesn't go crazy on the flight. She loves it and as far as I can tell she's been very comfortable in it. She was able to get up, turn around and sit inside. Her head rubbed the top of the stroller, but we had no problem with that. It doesn't quite fit under the seat in front of you when flying (as you can see from my photos, this is the farthest place under the seat it could go without feeling like it's going to break). It also had a pocket for me to store a leash, feed pouches and treats for being a good girl. It also has a leash clip inside to keep them secure when you open the bag (during checkout I had to take them off and go through the scanners while the stretcher was x-rayed with our bags). If you have a runner, great! The only downside I can think of is that it doesn't slip under the seat in flight, but that didn't bother me at all.
