Review on πŸͺ’ 100-Pack of 7 O'clock SharpEdge Double Edge Safety Razor Blades: Optimal Shaving Efficiency and Precision by Jasmine Leon

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Ultra-sharp, ultra-smooth, high-quality blade

Double-edged razor blades are a very personal thing. So that I really love these blades is just a very personal thing. But this review might help you find some context to decide if you like them too. I'm willing to risk cutting myself if it saves me the trouble of scraping my mustache off my face with a few strokes of a softer blade. By the way, I prefer a smooth blade - one that can cut you, but when it does, you won't even feel it. This means that I shave slowly and carefully. That being said, the Gillette 7 o'clock SharpEdge is very, very sharp and very, very smooth. Just put the weight of the razor on my face and it glides across my skin and trims my mustache with no uncomfortable tugging. I shave with each blade (two full strokes of a relatively soft beard) every day for a week. Think of it like a workman's feather blade. They cost less and last longer (and a little less sharp). Other woods I like are Wilkinson (another sharp, smooth reed), made in the USA by Personna "Lab Blues" (very similar to Wilkinson), Israeli Crystals (same but a little more traction) and Derby (incredibly smooth). but not sharp enough for my shaving style). The packaging is very simple - a carton of five blades in a box. Each blade is double wrapped and the inner wrap is glued to the blade with four dabs of glue (you can see the dabs on the blade but I don't think they affect the shave). No donor for used blades. These blades are more expensive than the average double-edged blade, but that's because of 1) the Gillette brand and b) the quality of the blade (which Gillette would like you to believe is the same). ). But with a quarter blade you're still talking about 5 cents a shave, which is a lot cheaper than cartridges, so it shouldn't matter much. They are less comfortable than the Wilkinson (another favorite blade of mine, available from WMart). If you like these blades, consider buying them in bulk as it's definitely cheaper than flying to St. Petersburg to buy more.

Pros
  • Like everything before
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product
