The tank itself is amazing. perfect for a small desktop tank. However, the filter is powered by the same USB cable as the light, so you can't time the light without setting a timer on the filter. Be prepared to fill that tank with nothing but algae eaters if left unattended. The filter itself is good. There is enough space on the back to place additional media between the foam filter and the pump. I would recommend sealing the filter screen section with silicone prior to use to ensure all water passes through the filtration process. The only thing I would like is that the filter pump is not forced to use the same power source as the light. If anyone has a solution for this, say an adapter that would allow them to be separated, or a version of this pump that I can buy that plugs straight into the wall, that would be ideal.
