Review on πŸ’‘ Fluval Sea Marine Nano Bluetooth LED: Powerful 20 Watt Lighting Solution by Lindsey Jones

Revainrating 1 out of 5

It can grow corals in low light but should only be used for pico aquariums.

I purchased this product for a small Fluval Spec V Nano Reef to have more lighting flexibility rather than just turning my previously used $40 black box LED on and off. The light was very easy to set up - the app was simple and I had no issues with the actual hardware. However, the spread of light produced by this lamp is very, very small and narrow. I placed it over the center of my (small) aquarium and increased the brightness over the course of a week. Even at full power, after a few more weeks only the soft elements just below opened up, so I replaced them with my cheap $40 LED and all the corals were happy again. At the moment it is unused somewhere in the box. I give it 3 stars because it puts out a nice looking light and is very easy to use and can work well with 3g pico or similar but I can't recommend it for more. With a relatively high price, it would be worth spending a little more and getting a real Nanolight with a little more power.
