Review on Inflatable Screen Outdoor Theater Projection by Zach Flores

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Now I have the coolest yard around!

This screen is huge! I know it says 16 feet but it might be hard to imagine until you see it in person. The umbrella consists of three main parts with ropes and pegs and a carrying bag. The main parts include a black zoom bezel, a fan and a detachable white screen. Before inflating the frame, you need to attach the screen, which is very easy. The screen is attached around the entire perimeter with a very strong velcro. The screen itself stretches slightly and is easy to attach. I'm very glad it's not permanently fixed as it's a lot easier to clean when needed. I found it easier to attach the top and top of the screen, then run the blower to inflate the frame, and then attach the bottom sides and bottom. Let gravity tighten the screen to smooth everything. Setup was very easy. I put it up in my backyard at the bottom of our hill. I didn't use any cables or pegs and the screen stayed upright with no issues. Even if it was slightly sloping at the bottom of our hill (it wasn't windy in the evening). It really inflates in less than two minutes. The picture quality on the bright white screen was very good. The fan isn't as quiet as I had hoped, but I got used to it very quickly and didn't distract from watching movies. I'd say it's on par with any backyard explosion. You have to keep the fan running or the screen will collapse instantly. The photos in the listing show the projector indoors. I don't think it would be very practical if you don't have a large space like a gym or a large multi-function room. I think that would be overkill for most interiors. The frame came apart easily, and as soon as I turned off the fan and opened the vent on the side opposite the fan, it quickly deflated. When folding I had to squeeze out the air. The bezel and screen are relatively light for their size and pack neatly into a carrying case (it takes two people or one very dedicated person to fold the bezel to fit the pocket). In general I am satisfied. I'm very excited about this canvas and the open air theater that I have now because of it. Although a backyard setup doesn't lend itself to rear projection, I tested it and the image quality was great! I have friends who don't project films on the screen but on the wall of their house. This screen offers a much higher quality viewing experience and I would recommend it to anyone interested in building their own outdoor cinema!

  • Not bad, but...
