This is by far the best dog flap ever! I have a lab Newfoundland (70#) and Pitbull (68#) mix and bought the large size. The most important thing is that they fit in width and then cut out the door according to their height. My only dog even nibbled at a few spots and could barely make a dent. Those are heavy doors! My boys got used to it quickly. I think double doors are easier to adjust than double doors and my dogs will freak out every time they get hit by the sash. These doors are also very secure, my dogs sometimes like to open one inwards and the other still outwards and they don't get stuck. I had a handyman build me a wooden dog fence so he installed the door easily as well. It was the first day they studied. We held the door open for them and then let go as they entered so they could get used to the feeling of being touched. They sorted it out within 24 hours.
