Inexpensive derailleur

This is a direct replacement for the Sram left derailleur on my inexpensive fat bike. While it can be used on a three chainring bike, it works well on my two chainring bike. It has a small window with numbers 1, 2 and 3, which may be very handy for some, but others may see it as a sure sign for a beginner. This type of switch is configured as "push-push," meaning it requires a thumb press to toggle up or down. This derailleur comes with the derailleur cable installed (no housing). This is good because I was in the process of replacing the shifter cable in an old derailleur and the moment I opened the derailleur the innards immediately flew out rendering it unusable. This isn't the first time I've had this type of user-unfriendly switch and I threw it straight in the trash and ordered another one. For only $15 he saved a lot of heartache for little money. However, be aware that changing the shifter cable can result in a complete replacement. Using the switch has shown that it works as intended. Although I'm not sure I would recommend it to a friend.
