I wanted something that would block random noise around the ears to a small degree. "Noise reduction" on them apparently does not exist. I played with it, then turned it off, then turned it back on and I didn't notice any difference. Okay, they don't cost much, but the ear cups aren't "around your ears," they have small holes in the foam, and your ears have an extra piece that goes in for sealing. After a while it gets uncomfortable. Also, they look very, very fragile and cheap. The part you slide out to insert the battery seems to have worn off after a few uses. I really can't believe Sony put their name on it.
