Review on Cerwin Vega SL 45C Center Channel Speaker by Janelle Morrissey

I did a two part review on my YT IowAudio Review channel about it. I was impressed at first, but upon further testing and listening alongside the Sony CS5, I quickly realized they didn't sound that great. Judging by a REW mic and a Dayton UMM6 they have terrible response and cheap crossovers. Further testing with the Dayton DATS V3 showed that the drivers behaved so badly that I couldn't even replicate the correct crossover to fix all the problems. The cost will still outweigh the performance. None of these new Cerwin Vega speakers are "legitimate". CV sold to Gibson and now all CV speakers are just Chinese mass speakers. After founder Gene Czerwinski left CV, all the qualities they had were gone. I cannot recommend any of the CV columns.
