My parents use a lot of kitchen appliances but as I got older I worried they would reach over my head to pick them up and move them around. wire storage rack. Once assembled, however, the shelf feels very solid, even considering my parents will be using the devices while standing on the shelf. We followed the manufacturer's recommendations and placed the heavier items (bread maker and deep fryer) on the bottom shelf.
