Bought 4 pieces. We use 3 double sizes for throws and I just bought an overflowing futon queen. This blanket is new and unwashed and will stretch. I immediately wash them in hot water and put them in a hot dryer. I'm sure they're heavily discounted. The weave makes it tight and essentially resistant to stretching. It's great for a throw. The dryer's lint screen also has a lot of lint, but that's to be expected from any cotton blanket. I can't confirm how much it shrinks because I didn't put either of us on the bed. These are the perfect blankets! Regular blankets are too small, so a few years ago I switched to buying double-sized blankets. The texture is pleasant, not soft, smooth, but there are no complaints about it on bare skin. The weight is perfect. It is slightly larger (thicker) than some cotton blankets. When we needed to pull out a full size futon for an extra guest last weekend, I realized I needed another blanket and bought a queen knowing it would shrink to a good size for a full futon.
