My daughter chose this dress for her annual Daddy Daughter Dance. I was concerned that the dress would be too casual but surprisingly the material was almost like satin. That's great! Spins great and my daughter loves it! In terms of size, we chose the size 10-13 years. My daughter is only 8 years old but I wanted more space than not enough. Good thing it fits perfectly, with no slack. I was surprised, I thought this size would be a bit larger, so I would advise ordering. Basically we are very satisfied.
