I carry SD cards in the field to do game viewing with camera traps, so a dust and splash proof box for storing the maps is essential. This box is perfect for that purpose. Not only can I take micro SD cards with me, but also normal sized SD cards. Inside are molded slots for each card type. However, I have no CF cards to test that. 8 SD cards can be placed inside. You can place up to 12 micro SD memory cards underneath. These are the standard card sizes I use, so this case fits my needs perfectly. The interior is made of rubber material, which seems to offer some impact resistance to protect the cards. It is soft and not brittle. Cards are easily pressed in the places of their formation. The edges of the case are tightly closed and do not let dust or water in. I haven't submerged it in water but it withstands raindrops. The case closes with latches at both ends. The locks seem safe to me. They can open if you put the case in your pocket and something bumps against both latches. But I think they hold on. The case itself is made from durable ABS plastic, so it feels solid in your hand. You can drop it and it won't break. Overall I think this is a durable and comfortable case to carry my SD cards in the field. I think I will last for many years. In my opinion it is worth the purchase price.
