I can't believe the quality of this item for the price I paid. This basket far exceeds my expectations. Heavy and very attractive, I don't want to hide it in the laundry room now. It goes with almost any decor. I plan to use it as a 'magazine' basket in the living room until last minute guests show up, then use it to clean up the mess in about 30 seconds and keep everything out of sight. It's huge. It accommodates four 18" x 18" sofa cushions. My only concern is the strength of the handles as they feel a little flimsy to support a lot of weight. Let's see how they hold up. Otherwise this basket is amazing. Will make an impressive housewarming gift filled with towels, blankets. etc. EDIT: Having used it to carry laundry and other large items up and down stairs, I can say it can handle a decent amount of weight with no problems. I can easily carry up to 20 pounds in this basket, but I tend to use it for bulky light items like bedding and sheets. It's far easier than a rigid laundry basket and infinitely more attractive.
