Had to buy this cheap alternative while waiting for my company to process and ship a new cable. You get what you pay for... a cheap alternative that overheats and strangely causes grounding issues. The mouse pointer jumps between spaces when I use the trackpad, causing me to click the wrong options. I used to charge and unplug my laptop while I was working. If I had to charge and work together, it would be a nightmare. Doesn't melt, burns as the reviews state (my house is a constant 70f) but heats up.
