I got this because I have a blind dog who has trouble finding the edge of the deck. I applied it in two strips to treated, unvarnished wood (the wood is about two years old so it's mostly dry now). It rained a lot and it's still stuck. Passed over 90 degrees, high humidity - still stuck. I don't know what will happen when 10 is below zero. I'll try to update this if it happens. Will not scratch bare feet/paws. And best of all, my dog can now find the edge of the terrace and knows that the steps are straight ahead. I bought some translucent tape and it mostly blends into the wood pieces. It's not very clear, but not very noticeable.
