Excellent quality, very well made in terms of durability. Terrible design. This is a very thick belt. Once they overlap, the two layers won't go through my belt loop. But what disappointed me the most was the loop on the back of the belt through which you could thread the end. This makes it very bulky and ugly. It is unnecessary if there was a second catch. I have had a brown belt very similar to this one for over 20 years. It has two hooks instead of one and no cumbersome, impractical loop. It is never opened without a loop. I would recommend this design. There are also fewer people involved in making the belt. Less leather, less sewing, less time.
