Not sure if this will work
I think I need to do more research on this cable. I apparently wrongly assumed that I would need a standard microphone (like the SM58) connected to an XLR connector and a USB to my computer's USB port. The computer detected that a microphone was connected to this USB port, but nothing happened when it was selected for the sound test.
