For $15 this does the trick. The USB connector has a male connector on one side and a female connector on the other side, allowing you to connect another USB device to the same port. My laptop didn't need much cooling so I didn't need a fan. I just wanted a stand that would elevate my keyboard a bit. The fans are silent and the light comes on when the fans are on. no power switch; plugging it in turns it on. If you lift the unit while the fans are on, it may bend and touch the blades. If you really need cooling performance I would recommend getting a KLIM for a little more money. However, if you're just looking for an inexpensive pillow with a little more airflow, this will help.
