Like every other device these days, the 3DS XL comes with a screen protector. In fact, 3DS/3DS XL are more prone to scratches than other devices. This screen protector is pretty easy to apply - I messed up installing the first top screen protector, but it comes with 2 top screen protectors and 2 bottom screen protectors, and the second screen protector held up well once I figured out what I was doing and how to line it up . That plus removing the first screen protector from the messed up setup didn't scratch or rub the screen which is always nice to see with a screen protector and in that regard this screen protector is no different. The first installation of the lower protective film worked well. The screen protector is a beautiful tempered glass and you can't even tell it's there other than the protection you get from it. It's a very reasonable price and I feel completely safe with it, especially as my old 3DS is scratched pretty badly. This is compatible with old and new 3DS XL devices. Highly recommended if you have a new 3DS XL then it's a must have.
