Can't tell how they work in the long term but they were all installed in my bands rehearsal room so we could shoot a holiday video, they look great. I hope they last as I plan to use them in my windows for Christmas. They have little plastic hooks that I used with safety pins at the top of the curtains to hang them. The wire goes down quite a long time, quite tight, so I wrapped them around the cable to hold it in place. They seem very fragile so I was careful when handling them, the remote seems very cheap but there is a switch at the end of the USB cable so you don't need a remote. They do NOT come with a connector but we all seem to have drawers full of old USB connectors and I used the two I had and they worked great.
