Review on Parmida LED Dimmable Recessed Replacement: Upgraded Industrial Electrical Lighting Components by Eduardo Reyes

I bought 24 pack 5K discs for the basement parts. I also have 5K K LED strips in my workshop which are much brighter. These discs, although only a little over 1000 lumens, seem to project a very wide pattern resulting in about 25 fc or so at (ping pong) table height. Six of these over the table isn't enough to play with, I installed 14 in a 35ft x 12ft room hoping for more brightness than the few A19 bulbs that were there when we moved in. They were in two long lines about 5 feet apart. Coating image is acceptable but brightness is not (for me). The installation was pretty easy. The wires are tinned, which may or may not make twisting the wires easier. 24 were successively shortened to a length that was mostly too long for me. The packaging was enough. None came broken. Each is individually wrapped in a large cardboard box that allows for physical separation. Partial rotation of the lenses (back to me) to release. I tried one and decided it wasn't bright enough. My idiotic logic would have mitigated this problem more. Not to the extent I had hoped. Now I have 20 of them installed in the basement where at least 50% of the area is occupied only by storage and shelving. They are suitable for that. A flat exposure is good, less than 1/2 inch from the bars. I added round plastic J-boxes for each attachment. I haven't investigated some of the short circuit issues mentioned in the comments. I didn't check either. For me, the wire nuts that came with the kit were worse. Haven't used them. Each comes with a pair of feet for attaching to a recessed box, but they can just stay in your bag when you don't need them Current draw I haven't measured yet, but found that in my application (mid-Atlantic region, exposed ceiling joists, no insulation) the drives don't get very hot at all Color temp seems a bit cooler than my other 5K Kelvin LEDs. Not good or bad, just different. I haven't noticed any flickering for about two months. I plan to remove the ones above the ping pong table and go with the Barrina 4 inch line strips that I used at the store. In the end I regret not taking the risk and sending them back. The price was fair. Delivery was fine. The product is fine. The app did not meet my expectations. This is not a blow to the product.
