Ideal solution for maximizing floor space while still providing basic lighting
I have a special lighting kit that comes with these types of stands that can be conveniently placed at the edge of a desk or on shelves etc. I started out with a tripod of giant soft boxes and realized all too quickly that tripping over and dodging the boxes had become an obstacle course even in my small studio. When I saw they were available as a separate option, I grabbed them. They have this universal mount that is used in many lighting sets.
