Review on Sweet Dreamers Activated Nightlight Lightweight by Daniela Wright

I WANT to love him, but.

I really want to love Ewen. Bottom line, it's the most effective sleep aid we've ever tried. Our 9 week old baby does not like to sleep. It beats about 45 minutes and wakes up. I watched in awe as Yuen the sheep helped himself to calm down and go back to sleep. For now it's a miracle! However. The cosmic joke is how awful and frustrating the interface is. The buttons are all inside the sheep. The on/off switch can sometimes be operated from the outside, but you have to be lucky. If you're unlucky, loudly undo the Velcro just when you want to soothe your baby back to sleep. The buttons are not intuitive at all, so you need to read the instructions carefully. And maybe a second read if you're as tired as I am. After all, batteries don't last long. I'm talking about a day and a half. I could probably improve on this by thinking about doing the weird button routine that toggles between manual/auto every time I pick up and put the baby down. You need a screwdriver to change the batteries. As long as it lets baby sleep, you can bet I'll be changing those batteries every day and struggling with a frustrating interface.

Pros
  • CRYING SENSOR: In addition, ewan also features a crying sensor designed to listen for 4 hours and automatically activate when your baby cries to help calm him down. These sounds also help mask loud noises that might wake your baby up, creating a soothing sleeping environment that will help your baby (and you) calm down faster and sleep longer!
