As a parent, I specifically chose this because I liked that all the fun was in a toy that didn't have any loose parts for little ones to hide or throw away. However, after 1 day of play, the board lost several puck rings, 1 light no longer lights up and the stick on the rope fell into pieces. As your toddlers get rougher with toys or chew on them, you'll find a few loose parts. One star off as I cut off the broken handle/rope and minus 1 broken light - the board is still 80% fun! With more supervision when playing, the board would probably survive 100%, recommended for children who are rougher on toys and consciously try to take them apart. This is the perfect way to keep kids entertained while traveling. It's also nice that it's not loud. Just random clicks and lights, no beeps. Toddlers learn fine motor skills and stay busy. Tested on 2, 3 and 7 year olds and all found it an interesting toy. Children love to operate switches and buttons. This toy seems to get that energy. However, after playing with it, expect them to randomly press other buttons around your house more often, this will teach them how to better control the switches. Easy installation of 2 AAA batteries under the black and yellow stripe plate above requires a mini screwdriver such as B. Glasses repair to install them. The patch panel is strong and sturdy, a high quality Montessori toy for young children and toddlers. Also a great gift.
