**I am not a veterinarian. I made the mistake of feeding my cat dry food (urination assist) his entire life and in early 2018 at age 6 he developed a complete urethral blockage resulting in a $2,000 vet bill. They recommended expensive canned food, which is fine given the cost estimate, but unfortunately I had to find something that wouldn't bankrupt me. My biggest fear (and the fear of everyone who has dealt with a blocked cat) was blockages coming back and after much extensive research I settled on a less expensive brand of wet food that all had the same percentages as the expensive food. Humidity is the most important factor if your cat has or has had UTI issues and since my cat doesn't drink a lot of water, she needs wet food. This meal is great, he loves the sauce very much. He refuses to eat expensive canned food with natural ingredients and whatever but is crazy about it, especially the turkey festival. He's only been eating sauce lovers for a year and hasn't had a single case, and at this price point it's basically a third of the wet food recipes vets recommend for life. Avoid dry food completely!
