I guess my mistake was putting socks on without washing them first. I have worn them throughout the day with good results, although they are quite difficult to put on. Unfortunately my shins started itching within a few hours of wearing them and as the day went on the itching got worse and worse. When she took off her socks, the itching persisted—for two more days, even using an antihistamine gel that provided only temporary relief. Now that I've washed my socks, I'm trying to find the courage to try again. I'll post back here with the results.
