My son has autism and only wears a certain style of Keens. Well, that style was discontinued, so I had to come up with something else. After looking at shoes with him on the internet, we decided on this pair. When they arrived he tried them on and to my relief he liked them and now wears them with no problem. His only problem is that the place where the tongue attaches to the top of the shoe can move and make him uncomfortable, so he has to make sure the tongue is in the right place when he puts it on. Otherwise he likes them and they suit him very well. I really love Keens for my son because they are so strong and reliable. He can do everything a child would normally do, run and jump, without fear that his shoes won't be able to keep up. They are also easy to put on and take off. In my opinion they are definitely worth the extra money.
