My colleague has a habit of listening to what is presented as political reporting at work. Unfortunately, he is helped by Initech's "reasonable volume between 9 and 11 o'clock". Like the CIA interrogation techniques of playing loud music for an extended period of time, or Miley Cyrus' enhanced method of using something for 5 minutes, the immediate effects include not just temporary insanity and loss of bowel control, but long-term ones as well post-traumatic stress disorder and various involuntary actions. In my case, around 9:15 am every morning, I would unknowingly attempt to use my red Swingline stapler to close my eyes and ears to prevent further sensory input. Needless to say, this leads to some inconveniences. Comfortable enough for long-term wear, these goggles meet a newly developed standard set by the CDC and a consortium of public health officials who lack replacement body parts for people who just can't take it anymore. Although I haven't solved my ear problem yet, I can report that my eyes are in perfect shape to observe the collective madness that is going on around us all as our society slowly crumbles. Vision also makes driving easier and less dangerous, but somehow less fun. Two thumbs up!
