Large Pocket Speaker

If you want a small, lightweight speaker with good battery life to carry in your pocket for work, a picnic or the beach, this is a great choice. Shirt pocket or trouser pocket on the way to work. I use it with my Apple Watch so I don't have to fiddle with my phone to pause playback or adjust the volume. Better than headphones for my situation because I need to hear what's going on around me. A single charge easily lasts 8 hours of "turning on" in my pocket, including 4 or 5 hours of active podcast and music playback. Didn't check the battery life afterwards. Sound quality and volume are surprisingly good for a speaker of this size. The voice (podcasts) are wonderful. The music gets as loud as one could wish for, but is a bit tinny and lacks bass. This is approx. the size and weight of the hockey puck. Solidly made, loud enough for any sensible use. The buttons are small, hard to see and difficult to press. Bluetooth 5.0 is great. Works 30 feet with my Apple Watch in my house. You could probably spend upwards of $60 for something this size that sounds a little better. But it's a good choice if you want to save some money. UPDATE (1 month later): This was a good buy. I even bought a second one to listen to in stereo. Like headphones, they can be connected to each other via TWS (True Wireless Stereo) for true stereo. I place them 20 feet apart when I'm in my office for full immersion. I'm still impressed with the battery life. I listen 3-4 hours a day and charge every 2-3 days. You can find smaller, tiny speakers, but they lack battery life at actual listening levels. The sound always impresses me with its clarity, even at high volumes. Bass is certainly weaker compared to the larger speakers, but it's as good as anything I've heard at this size.
