I bought this computer to take to college. Everything was working fine until I started connecting peripherals and tweaking the performance settings. The fan mode kept going from silent to high performance and back, showing a pop-up in the center of the screen, and there was no setting to prevent it. The volume went dead every time I closed a tab or popup, or even removed YouTube ads. The HDMI port is very weak, and unless it's plugged in perfectly straight, both screens turn into a purple pixel disaster. The computer freezes several times when performing simple tasks and also causes Windows touchpad gestures to fail. On each reboot, the ROG function and user buttons became unresponsive for a full 5 minutes. The aux jack was a poor fit, and my regular Apple in-ear headphones wouldn't plug in properly unless they got stuck and popped out at the slightest tug. I'm also very disappointed with the screen brightness and color space, which was noticeably darker and less colorful than my 2017 250nit Acer laptop. donated to make it as cheap as possible.
