First of all, no matter how much you protect your box, someone who decides to get in will find a way. It may seem strange but I will buy this product again despite the fact that it has been compromised. on my box and all my things are stolen. I have a security camera and it took me over an hour to pick the lock. He wasn't trying to attack the lock itself, but rather the "arms" on the sides of the lock that wrap around the locking bars. Turns out he was using some sort of scissors (large bolt cutters) and possibly a battery powered angle grinder. Regardless, this little guy put up one hell of a fight and lasted until the end. In general, the lock was good and reliable. I've been like this in rain and sun for about a year. Fit and finish were good. There is no surface rust but a little inside the sliding part. When applying, make sure to tilt it slightly so that any water that has gotten in can run off. Good product and worth the money. I also had metal tongue locks that the guy barely had to cut off.
