The Lightning connector doesn't fit my phone properly. I had to move to start loading. As soon as I moved the phone slightly, it stopped charging. TO UPDATE. Further investigation revealed that the connection on my phone was not 100% correct. I've found that some cables work 100% of the time on my phone while others don't. A completely different cable that didn't work on my iPhone XS worked perfectly on my wife's iPhone XS. That got me thinking. So I took a pipe cleaner and used it to remove dust etc from the port on the phone that the cable is plugged into. I tried not to be too aggressive out of paranoia that I might do harm. Now I find this cable works much better. Not 100%, but close enough that I can use it reliably.
