Decided to join the wet palette craze I've heard a lot about and it helped. I'm going to try a few different types of paper, but the paper that comes with it will do just fine, at least to start with. The sponge is fine and the tray is shallow enough that you don't grab your lip to work. Maybe my house is dry, but I had to add water daily to keep the paper moist enough so my paint wouldn't bleed. dry overnight.
