I'm 5'1", and the petite length was good for me (with shoes). In preparation for knee replacement surgery--and not sure how much inflammation/bandaging I'd be dealing with--I wanted a pair of wide-leg slacks for going back to work and church. These are great. They've been washed twice so far (warm, gentle cycle, woolite) then hung to dry: no pilling, no shrinking. Light weight fabric that doesn't irritate my incision scar, and especially good for hot summer weather. I'm ordering a second pair.
