They are really cute and my 96 year old mother says they are comfortable. The support is not permanent. I tried two pairs and they didn't offer enough arch support, although one pair performed better than the other. The sock is large on the foot and quite dense in the calf area. Her legs look great but her feet are really swollen at the end of the day. She wears size 9 shoes. I don't want to return them because they are so cute, but I'm looking for ones that support my foot better. I've had others at 20-30mg that give more support. If only they would make it smaller. I tried it with s/m.
