Poor picture quality, adapter stuck in DP port and broke when removed

I knew the picture wasn't going to be the best but it was very poor, washed out. Worst of all, it got stuck in my dock's display port and completely fell apart when trying to remove it. I literally had to use pliers to remove the rest of the dock as you can see in the photos.
