If you're ordering this for a G226HQL monitor and your screw that attaches it to the stand has a short thread it won't work. If you order it for the S230HL you can get it to work but not sure if it will last if you move the monitor around a lot. I had to remove the piece of metal that the thumbscrew goes in, place it on the outside of the bracket, and thread the screws through it into the plastic bracket. It is not possible to install the metal piece that goes into the back of the monitor and attach it to the bracket. Not enough space to mount monitors. Edit: We were able to find a longer screw with the same thread to mount the G226HQL, it's NOT 1/4-20, the thread is thinner. Get ready to find out how to make these things work. I'll keep looking for a screw for another monitor as I'm not sure if it's very secure as it now screws into plastic instead of metal and uses a metal mount on the outside that was on the inside.
