Doesn't work right away - no online support

Never tried it. When I plugged it into my TV's headphone jack, there was no sound - just hissing. I've verified that a regular headset works when connected to a TV, which means the phono stage works. Tried the manufacturer's website, but couldn't find anything about this problem. Tried their online chat help and after waiting they said they didn't have anyone available so emailed me. I decided to cut my losses and return the device. Apparently it doesn't work with all TVs.
