My 8 year old daughter wore this pair of shoes (in black leather) to school every day for 4 months 7 hours a day and I'm happy to report that she helped are by far the most durable. All the school shoes we tried. I usually buy nicer shoes for school (e.g. Pediped, Jumping Jack, etc.) Our school playground has fine gravel and is the only shoe that has worked. A pair of shoes we tried are terribly scratchy at the toes, some of them on first putting them on. I don't know about these shoes but they still look flawless after all this time! They often collect dust from the playground. But just wiping them down is enough and they're ready to go. My only complaint is that the cords along the Mary Jane strap tend to fray or have small cords that need to be cut or burned from time to time. Again we had much more expensive shoes which made it much worse. nice, soft insole and they fit my daughter's well-groomed feet very well. I wouldn't hesitate to buy them again. In fact, if she outgrows this pair, these will be the shoes I'll be buying next year. I am very picky and want my kids shoes to look beautiful every time they wear them and these shoes have been amazing. buy you. You will not regret it.
