these shoes fully correspond to the declared characteristics. They're soft, the synthetic upper is comfortable and stretchy, and the "sneaker-like" bottom is easy to walk on. BUT they are NOT unisex! The embroidery is VERY definitely PINK. My 11 year old boy doesn't wear them. My son wears a 5 x 5-1/2 and is still growing. We ordered a size 6 (I thought they would fit true to size or small - as most western boots run small) but these things are HUGE. I wear a women's size 8-1/2 or 9 and these boots are too big for me! (for those who don't know what fits a size 6-1/2 or larger child) I think the boots themselves might deserve a higher rating because they are beautiful and well made. But people need to know what to expect and frankly, the description doesn't!
