This "hammock" is a joke. Virtually no instructions, if it wasn't for the picture on the box I would put the pieces back in a well designed box and return them for a full refund. The wood pieces are poorly carved and the holes don't line up, preventing the whole device from being solid. Mikala (my 3.5 month old Persian kitten) wants nothing to do with it. I tried to put her there but she refused to have anything to do with it. It is never stable and will keep swinging as long as someone or something is nearby. I would give this "mess" NO STARS if possible. Sorry, try again and start actually sitting/lying on one. The best thing about this so-called product is the pleasure of throwing it in the trash. Oh yes, we kept the box, it's still intact, I had to send back the so-called hammock, but the kitty had too much fun with the box.
