Installation took about 10 minutes, during which time I took the opportunity to wipe the old fan down to a squeaky sink. 4 screws are attached to the motor, which can be easily loosened with a ring spanner. Then I opened the case which had 2 Phillips head screws. I removed the fan + clutch with a 10 socket wrench, replaced the clutch with 4 bolts, reinstalled it in the car, repaired the case. You don't have to pay a mechanic to install this! I notice a lot more air movement when idling. By revving the engine it is now a very nice whoosh. Absolutely the best modification I've made to the car. I used to not be able to run the air conditioner on a gentle slope on a warm day. Now I can run the air conditioner uphill! Noise (whistling) disappears at higher speeds. Now I'm angry that I waited so long. $30 was used as a new part from inventory. The package was opened but I could tell the part was never installed. 244DL B23F stock engine from 1983.
