Review on πŸŽ’ Stylish and Versatile Baggallini Convertible Backpack Wristlet: Portobello Women's Handbags & Wallets by Robert Hines

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Place my books, folders, laptop and water bottles! Comparative review.

I was looking for a replacement for a 2000 padded briefcase that wasn't up to the task of keeping all the things I needed close at hand while I carried the kids around. I wanted something cooler than a briefcase backpack. Although I wanted to hate it for the odd straps, the Baggallini Women's 3-in-1 Hiking Backpack Portobello Shimmer, One Size was the winner. I copy this comparison. Reviewing all four bags I auditioned: Baggallini Avenue Large Bag, Baggallini Any Day Tote Pewter Leaves with RFID Phone Wristband, EggplantBaggallini New Classic Heritage Anywhere Large Hobo with RFID Phone Wristband. Tested to fit: Bullet Journal Best Seller Hardcover 3-ring binder) 20 oz. Contigo Automatic Spout Stainless Steel Water Bottle, 12 oz. The Kleen Kanteen TK Wide Convertible Backpack is the clear winner. Everything fits. Bottles fit easily and securely in the side pockets, but due to the internal width they steal a bit, so the laptop and folders don't accidentally fit in the middle of the back, but should be accommodated more neatly at the very front and at the very back. Despite this bulkiness, everything was easy to get in and out of, even with water bottles loaded. The bag can be opened completely with the zipper. It has a deep hidden phone pocket on the front behind a zip pocket; my Pixel 3A has plenty of space in its slim body. The main compartment has two pockets (no slots for credit cards or pens) and 1 zipped pocket that runs the full length of the back of the bag. So I dock a star. The luggage sleeve is a loose 4 inch webbing instead of dual zippered pockets on some other models. There's a pocket on the back with a button, but it's difficult to access in a backpack configuration. The straps are only 1.25 inches wide and will be awkward when carrying a loaded bag. D-rings on top for crossbody configuration are only on the back of the bag; I'm afraid that won't go well. Since the main purpose of the bag is as a briefcase, I won't pay attention to that and plan to use the bag's handles. The shimmery Portobello is a lovely taupe – a lot less brown than my old everyday Portobello (or something like that, you might think). can be seen in the picture. The Avenue Tote Bag didn't make it. I could put my office stuff in it but it didn't stand up and travel bottles didn't fit in the front pockets at all. Every day bag goes with everything. There was a padded zippered pocket that fit the laptop. A water bottle and a TK Wide fit in the front pockets, but at the expense of interior space, and the deformation of the front of the bag made using the two front pockets difficult. The great tramp was charming but failed. The zipper doesn't run the full length of the case making it too awkward to get in and out of even small things like my Kindle Fire HD 8. For example, there was enough room to stash a hardcover β€” or Chromebook β€” vertically and then move it horizontally, but not when the water bottle and/or TK Wide were in the end pouches, and not when there was something else in the bag was located. . The link didn't work at all. Both bottles fit into these hydration pouches on the sides of the bag, but they were a little tight at this size, probably because they didn't have creases. I liked the hidden phone pocket on the top of the bag. The color of the champagne shimmer was barely noticeable - the leather straps shone a bit, but I wouldn't call the bag itself shiny.
