I'm someone who likes to chew toothpicks, especially when I'm working on something difficult. I don't like chewing gum and without a toothpick my tongue sticks out a lot causing me to wipe my mouth often which seems gross. I hate how regular toothpicks fall apart over time. You can ruin your tongue if you don't get a new one fast enough, and in a typical box of toothpicks, only about 50% of them are good and smooth, with the rest having splinters. Toothpicks and I couldn't find anything like petrified wood so I ordered them. The tips are VERY pointy and I thought of filing them down a bit but ended up just flipping them over and popping the other side, the lip side, in my mouth instead. Not only does this hold the pointed end, but the nob side is noticeably heavier, allowing the toothpick to stay in the mouth easily when chewing on that side. The toothpick falls out of the mouth easily when the pointed end is chewed. They are a bit long. Plus the pointed end is a bit intimidating and I can't quite pull off the trick of flipping the toothpick with my mouth like I can with regular toothpicks, but that's probably not a good habit anyway. Just in terms of toothpicks instead of chewing, they are significantly better than wooden toothpicks. You can go about 4 teeth before the end of the wooden toothpick softens or bends. These are awesome toothpicks that really get the job done, but be careful as they will ruin your gums if you trip.
