Good. I admit I was a bit skeptical at first. This comforter was warm and fluffy. In no case will it repel water! I liked being proven wrong. We have a 17 year old Shihtsu. She doesn't know where she is most of the time and will go potty anywhere. Including in a dream. We shelter them at night to keep them safe and warm. We always put her a pillow with a towel or blanket, but firstly it wasn't warm enough and secondly everything in the drawer had to be washed thoroughly when she defecated in the evening. We had it for over a week with no night time. accident until this morning. Every morning when we took her out of the cage she was cute and cozy. Warm but not overheated. Today she had her first accident overnight. The top layer was damp, but when I pulled it out the bottom layer was bone dry, as was the pillow underneath and the box around it. I was pleasantly shocked! I found this comforter does a good job of keeping her warm and comfy so I like it even if it doesn't work. Well, now that it's confirmed, I'm in love! I can even buy a second one so she can always wash one of them.
